FAQ

Marketplace fee questions

Which marketplace gives the highest net payout?

It depends on the price point. Under $15, Poshmark’s flat $2.95 commission is expensive on cheap items while Depop’s 3.3% + $0.45 processing stays small. At higher prices, Depop’s no-commission structure usually nets the most, eBay and Mercari land in the middle, and Poshmark’s 20% takes the largest cut. Enter your real numbers above to see the exact comparison.

How are eBay fees calculated in 2026?

For most categories eBay charges a 13.6% final value fee on the total sale (item price plus buyer-paid shipping and sales tax) up to $7,500, plus a per-order fee of $0.30 for orders of $10 or less and $0.40 for orders over $10. Some categories differ — for example Books, Movies and Music are 15.3%, and athletic shoes over $150 are 8% with no per-order fee.

How much does Poshmark take per sale?

Poshmark charges a flat $2.95 on sales under $15, and a 20% commission on sales of $15 or more. Buyer-paid shipping goes to Poshmark’s prepaid label, not to you, and there are no separate listing or payment-processing fees.

What is Mercari’s selling fee?

Since January 6, 2025, Mercari charges sellers a flat 10% of the item price plus buyer-paid shipping, with no separate payment-processing fee. Note the fee applies to buyer-paid shipping even though that money goes to Mercari’s label, not to you.

Does Depop still charge a 10% selling fee?

No. Depop removed its 10% selling fee for US sellers in 2023. US sellers now pay only a payment-processing fee of 3.3% + $0.45 on the item price plus shipping and taxes. Optional boosted listings add 12% on resulting sales.

Where do these fee rates come from?

Every rate in this calculator was read directly from the marketplace’s official fee page, and each result card shows the date it was last verified with a link to that source. The same fee engine powers the seller tools inside Presto Bee.
